Eureka Part 1 ?
6am - Finally the penny has dropped. We are not our minds. The mind separate to the soul. This is problematic as the mind is so dominant 99% of the time, and if unsettled or challenged throws a hissy fit that will floor you so badly you will loose all sight of the fact that another you is hiding somewhere. We might call this the subconscious, and even this can reek havoc with the body. I think there is more though beyond the subconscious, a concrete other you bursting to get out, painfully and forcibly.
Some say that the mind makes us who we are, but I think that the soul also makes us what we are. It imprints the brain and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteBrains scans of psychopathic people show that their malady is hard-wired, and that may be related directly to the state of their soul.
At the same time, choosing to do evil also hard-wires the brain to continue down that negative path, and also affects the soul.
It's interchangeable, but...
So what came first, the mind or the soul? The soul did. We all started off as Soul.
For me, that is more than enough proof of predestination and the existence of either heaven or hell.
We existed somewhere before we came to the planet, and we already had our destiny mapped out. Our soul definitely is who we actually are.
The mind is just a tempter at times, it fools us, it makes us think things and get angry and do stuff we shouldn't, and how our Soul responds to that is the real test.
E.g. the person of evil intent does what the mind invents out of malice, but at the same time, something is whispering evil intentions in their ears. The heart is also evil in such a case, but that person's heart is dead because their soul isn't good.
We are definitely more spirit and soul than just mind.
That makes sense.
