This haunting childhood song, but why ?

Last night I was woken by the clatter of two plates stacked on top of one another on my inside window ledge. It sounded like one plate lifted and then clattered down on top of the other. Just the sort of noise that jar's my ears. At the time I was dreaming of a group of people happily singing Mull of Kintyre. It was a hit in the 70's I think.

Earlier I heard that scraping noise around the top of the window frame. Its been maybe a year since that has happened. Its definitely feeling like winter now. Both these instances remind me of the ghost of Katherine in Wuthering Heights at the window of Mr Lockwood. Window weirdness has gone on here for two generations at least. I think Katherine is early this year.

  2. The windows of the surrounding houses here have a history of flapping wings being heard around them , and the manor next door still has a problem with windows opening themselves as a security guard told me during the filming there. The previous occupant of our house said it was the same in my childhood room.
